The opportunity to participate in a performance is an exciting, empowering and confidence-building part of our training process. This is where we love to watch our dancers learn about performing, stage craft and teamwork while they enjoy the opportunity to showcase their skills in a professionally run production. It is a wonderful way for dancers to showcase the results of their hard work and for family and friends to join in the pride of their achievement. We love giving all our dancers the chance to perform for their family and friends in a supportive and fun environment and it is without a doubt the highlight of our dance year!
Thank you for taking the time to read all information contained on this site. It should cover any questions you have, if not, please feel free to reach out to one of our team. Hope you are all looking forward to the performance as much as we are!

Our End of Year Performances are a highlight of the dance year and all our dancers have been working on their routines each week in class, developing their skills in the process and learning the importance of rehearsal, commitment, performance techniques and teamwork.
In terms of class attendance, it is very important that dancers do not miss any of their scheduled classes between now and the performance to ensure every dancer has the opportunity to feel prepared and confident to give their best performance! If for any reason your child will miss a number of their regular classes in Term 4, we ask that you contact reception to let us know in advance.
If there is any reason why your child will no longer be able to perform, please let us know so we can make amendments to the class routines involving them.

(See Colour Groups button below for more info.)
DROP OFF PROCEDURE
Upon Arrival please proceed through the Rear Foyer doors and straight ahead to the Ground level function rooms where a member of our Team will be waiting to collect your dancer and take them to their Colour Group. Once you have dropped your dancer off, please follow the directions of our staff and head up the stairs to take your seats in the Showroom. To avoid congestion we ask that one parent / carer only escort your dancer/s to the drop off point. All other family members can head straight upstairs.
DURING THE PERFORMANCE
As always, the safety of our dance family is our #1 priority.
Dancers will not be permitted in the auditorium and will remain backstage under the supervision of our Staff for the duration of the performance. We will have a variety of activities as well as a live feed of the performance to keep them entertained. They may also like to bring their own quiet game or book to pass the time.
SECURITY & STUDENT SAFETY
For the safety of our Footloose Family, only Dancers and Staff are permitted backstage and in the function rooms during drop off and performances. Please respect this policy.
AFTER THE PERFORMANCE
At the conclusion of the performance, all dancers will be released from the stage in their Colour Groups. To ensure no dancers get lost in the crowd, we ask that you please remain seated and when your dancer's colour group is called please send one parent / carer to the front of the showroom to collect them. Once you have collected your dancer you can head down to the function rooms when you are ready to collect their belongings as you leave. For efficiency please follow the directions of our Staff during this process.
There will be limited supervision available between the performances. For this reason only Company, High School and DanceStep students will be permitted to remain on site. All other dancers must be collected by a responsible parent / carer. If your Company, High School or DanceStep student will be staying in our care, please notify us in writing.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors when you sign in.
BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE
Dancers will be given costumes during their classes this Term.
Caring for your costume prior to the Performance is extremely important.
Costumes should be hung neatly in a garment bag and should not be worn prior to the Performance.
Please do not attempt to wash or iron your child's costume.
All costumes have been made to order and are checked carefully prior to distribution. Replacements are not available for lost or damaged costumes.
AFTER THE PERFORMANCE
Costumes will be yours to keep after the performance.
While not recommended, if washing is required AFTER the performance we suggest spot cleaning or gentle cold hand wash only.
Footloose Performance Studios does not accept responsibility for any damage that may occur when costumes are washed.
Out of respect for our dancers, and to help minimise distractions, we ask that you please put your phones away for the duration of the performance and be in the moment with your dancer.
We engage the services of both a Professional Videographer and Photographer for our Performances.
All families will receive a complimentary Digital Download of our performances which can be viewed and shared across all your devices.
Families will also receive access to all onstage and backstage photos taken, however please be aware that many of these are "live on stage" images and there is no way to guarantee that photos will be taken of each individual child, so we recommend making use of our Media Wall on arrival and departure to take some posed close up photos of your dancer in their costume. Don't forget to tag us @footloosestudios in all your Social Posts so we can see all the fun they are having!
